Gina Lara

Gina Lara is the Tax and Forensic Accounting Manager at Smith Dickson. Ms. Lara’s tax role at the firm includes consulting for individuals, business owners, and fiduciaries. Ms. Lara is also proficient in compliance work, including the preparation of income tax returns and complex trust accounting per California Probate Code requirements.

As Forensic Accounting Manager, Ms. Lara provides financial analysis and litigation consulting services for civil, criminal, and trust and estate matters. This experience includes economic damage calculations and forensic accounting associated with fraud and embezzlement, lost profits, unjust enrichment, and fiduciary abuse.

Ms. Lara is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and CalCPA. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is a licensed Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Ms. Lara is also a designated enrolled agent (EA)—the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service for federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation.
