Gina Lara has nearly over fifteen years experience in tax and financial services. Her background in managing wealth for high-net-worth clients enhanced her knowledge in trust and estate tax planning strategies. Today, Ms. Lara provides tax consulting and prepares federal and state tax filings for individuals, trusts, estates, and pass-through entities.
Ms. Lara also renders expert witness testimony and litigation consulting services for probate, civil, and criminal matters. In probate matters, this includes calculating economic damages related to alleged breach of trust, computing proposed trust distributions schedules based on equalization of assets, and the preparation of complex trust accountings in compliance with California Probate Code requirements. In civil matters, Ms. Lara has experience in the preparation of Rule 26 and other reports for commercial litigation matters involving lost profits and unjust enrichment.
Ms. Lara is a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners and CalCPA. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration and is a licensed Certified Financial Planner (CFP®). Ms. Lara is also a designated enrolled agent (EA)—the highest credential awarded by the Internal Revenue Service for federally licensed tax practitioners who specialize in taxation.
